Is there ANY head unit out there that still has buttons? I don't give a rats rear end about album images, track info, who farted in the studio, phone connectivity and anything else that requires you to look at the stupid thing to operate it.

There are a couple of ways I can think of.
1. Use the playlist feature to put the songs you want in the order you want played.
2. Use an
MP3 Tag editor to modify the mp3 tags in your mp3 files so that HU wouldn't sort them. For example you can change all artist name to "an artist" and all album names to "an album" of the songs you want.
Or check ebay, I think you can find older head units available.
