The gearbox has passed quite fun 15K miles, mostly on FI with different setups from 300 to 420hp but never on that kind of stickies - maybe that prolonged its life.

Tires/driveline setups definitely influence the shock loads the gears see, which is why it's so difficult to put a hp/tq number on when 4th gear fails. Thanks for sharing!
I tore apart another local's transmission on Friday night. 380-420 whp, driving fine then one day 4th was lost. I knew what was the cause before I tore into it but below is the carnage, which isn't terrible, but will require a countershaft for repair as well as a few other parts.
