I think the only ones ashamed of Scion are Toyota. It's why they got rid of it and forgot about it so fast.

Rebadging is just another form of cosmetic modding. It shouldn't be made out to be a big deal.

Same as replacing the oem wheels to aftermarket or changing any other component of the car. Steering wheels, exhausts, bumpers etc....

Most of us do badge swaps because it's technically a Toyota.
For some, it's because of looks.
For others they just do it for fun.
I highly doubt someone does it because they are ashamed. If they were ashamed they would of not bought a car for $25,000+.

On my Subaru, I replaced the front Subaru Badge with the Pink "I" badge. Was i ashamed of Subaru? No. I just thought it looked cool on the JDM sti's in Japan.
