Reminds me of back-in-the-day in the Army, during a tour in Germany, we had a few "soldiers" that just wouldn't conform to the Army way. Since they hadn't committed a crime, as such, we couldn't send them to the "Big Stockade".
So, we improvised ....... we had this sound proof building with individual rooms that were totally blacked out. Each room had a double door. We would place the stubborn "soldier" in a room and feed them 3 meals a day (at varying times) and empty their bucket once a day.
After a few days, we would let them out ........ to see if they wanted to soldier .... or not.
