I'm going to attempt to install the Joying 5.1.1 model today. Since the 2017 BRZ has steering wheel controls, him hoping somebody can help me identify which wire it is. I have some suspicion as to which one it is, or maybe I can just disconnect it and see if it works or not.
I'm not sure what wire this is. It's black and blue and attaches to a metal bracket on the OEM Head Unit.
I'm thinking this is the steering wheel control cable. It's a small pink wire that is taped to the 28pin OEM harness
Here is the actual 28pin harness. Looking at previous posts, pins 21-24 were empty. As you can see here, 21-23 now have wires connected. The pink wire also shows up, along with blue/yellow and light green. I'm thinking the pink is the steering wheel control wire.
I'll go ahead and test it out, but if anybody has any insight, please feel free to share.
