Wouldnf matter the pump size, once the gas flows to on side of the saddle ,not enough syphoning to run a V8, atleast in my case, its a ventury syphon btw, nothing is pumping nothing is syphoning eventually your bucket runs dry....Cough! Cough!......still might look into a Hydromat though for insurance.
