@Tcoat is right again,Why don't I help clear up somethings and add on. Even if Toyota was pushing to get its drop top concept made. I've actually had this discussion with Moto-San and Ichitaka before on the convertible. First it wouldn't have been made because Subaru basically said "hell no" second, when questioned about if the car was designed from ththe ground up as a covertible, this was a mis translation by an Australian magazine and every other major media took it as wrote a story on it. Toyota PR ran with it they needed fuel to get the car made. More when asked about the convertible Moto San one of the few people who drove th concept said " you don't want it,it's kinda wobbly" and lastly when asked about this topic about Tada San and If he did do it from the ground up. The answer I got from Moto San was "are you sure Tada San wasnt drinking before that interview? How many beers did you think he had?"

We went over the convertible thing many years ago and as a supporter of it I wanted it to happen, but honestly the coupe is what it is and it's beautiful.

So source c & d and everything as much as they say.

I'll trust the words of the person who actually help design it and the chief engineer.

In fact if you search the old thread and maybe some FB posts on the topic you can actually find our conclusions on the topic.
