I had a 1969 Chevelle. When the 307 died I put a 454 in it with 12.5/1 compression, tunnel ram with 2 Holley 650 double pumpers. The gas guage moved faster than the second hand on the clock.

My 1977 911s gets 14 if I drive it like someone who is scared to go over 35 mph, going downhill. autocross, track and spirited street driving gets me about 4 mpg.
