Competitive STX autocross cars have no problem spinning the tires at launch or hanging the back end out on 17x9 245 sticky as fuck RE-71R's with just a header and tune. Hell I can do it on mine right now with a stock powertrain as I'm developing my setup and my car is just too loose.

Sticky 245's aren't a death sentence for fun. I totally understand not needing or wanting more tire though.
