My Miata had a cross member/plate that caught oil after a sloppy oil change and would drip for days afterward. The second oil change, I asked them to take off the plate (5 small bolts) before the oil change (made the filter easier to get to). The dealership left it off - I had to go back and have them put it on. The second oil change, they "forgot" to change the filter - I went back inside and told them to change the filter. So, they took the plate off again and changed the filter and stripped the bolts when they put the plate back on.
Yep, three strikes ...... they were OUT!
@
HunterGreene ..... I wouldn't worry about it unless it forms a puddle. Back-in-the-day, if you
didn't see an oil spot under the car ...... that meant it was OUT of oil ......
