I noticed this dangerous anomaly a few months ago. There should be some sort of safety interlock preventing the use of the seat lock lever when the car is in motion, and it should definitely be government mandated; we should NOT be required to be personally responsible for our own safety. When I queried the typically clueless dealership, they said they'd never had any other complaints and weren't willing to cover it under warranty. My solution was to smear roofing tar all over the seat rails. Highly recommend this install, and the roofing tar fitment is mint. I'm working on a DIY and will post pictures.
