Drove my BRZ today after dailying a 997 (base car) for a couple of months. BRZ feels really slow and like it wants a lightweight flywheel (feel like I need to hold the throttle open for ages to blip for downshifts); still really enjoyed driving the BRZ though. Still think the BRZ has the better driving position, and it feels like it's about half the weight of the Porsche. I prefer the quicker steering rack too, although the 997's got much better steering feel.

Also, the BRZ has better gearing-- it's nice to be able to run through second gear without hitting 70mph. I think the BRZ could be geared even lower (shift to third at 45-50, anyone?), but even where it's at it presents a much more usable proposition.
