I realized that cutting the crash beam was going to be inevitable to fit what I have planned for ducting anyways. I would still like to try the smaller Garrett core in the future but I've been somewhat trying to minimize parts I have to fab to get this thing up and running. This treadstone core is custom but it was still pretty cheap and easy to get quickly. The Garrett core alone is more than twice the price of this intercooler. Those things aren't cheap. Plus now I'll have a baseline intercooler to compare to when I do make the switch!
