Well, any car manufacture can say to change the oil at a higher mileage interval 7500 miles, or 10,000 miles, etc. , but ultimately is that the best thing for the engine? Oil is the engines life blood.
Even with top end synthetic oil (Amsoil, Royal P, etc) , I'd trust that to go 6-8k miles, post 5k miles on the car.
Is it more expensive to replace the engine prematurely, or replace the oil at a shorter interval ? Do the math.
