However, when I took delivery of the car, I noticed that the paint on the bumper did not match the paint on the rest of the car body. At first I was given a lecture on how the paint appearance will always be different because of the different materials (plastic vs metal) being covered. When I was still not satisfied with that explanation, I was provided with a write-up that stated that I can bring the car in after a couple of weeks to allow the fresh paint to cure and the bumper will be repainted at no cost to me.
The question that I have is the following: Is it worth it to go through this again and probably the paint will still not match or should I just accept it as it looks right now?
Your comments are welcome.
Thanks
Pat
Horseshit. They do bad work. They are just hoping you go away. I'd go to your insurance company, lodge your complaint. Let the insurance company recommend another shop to get it painted right. And of you're lucky, that body shop will go on the insurance company's shitlist. Maybe THAT will get their attention. But I wouldn't bring it back to the same body shop on a bet. You alreadu gave them a chance to put it right. They gave you the "they all do that" line.
