Finally, I've got a working cold air intake system for my car.

I've tried various intake (aFe, Injen, K&N) and they got the same exact problem.

In WOT situation in low RPM (below 2000RPM) the engine was running like crap. Pass that zone, all the intake that I've tried give decent gain.

But the GrimmSpeed one deliver good performance and don't have that low RPM problem like they all do !

Could be added as a note somewhere, I did forget by mistake to install the seal between the snorkel and the Grimmspeed air box. Just because of that, the air flow was deviated somewhat and caused the same problem I had with other intake. I've installed the seal and well, everything is working fine now !

The only "problem" of this intake, it's a bit too close from the oil sensor connector and it do rub on it.

Thanks a lot !
Thank you very much, and I think I recall you asking one of our sales guys about this specific problem that you'd been having with other intakes. Glad to see that our intake was exactly what you were looking for.

As far as rubbing on that sensor, while the fit is close, it should not touch. I've only had a few people email in saying that had this issue, and it was always remedied by loosening the two mounting bolts for the intake and pulling the airbox forward, and then re-tightening those two bolts. Usually the issue is caused by the rear mount because of how it is attached to the car, and how flimsy it is. There is a ton of room for slop in installation when it was installed at the factory, and it is pretty easy to bend when removing your stock airbox or if you've had any other intakes in there (and it sounds like you've had several).

So don't let it touch that sensor, try moving the airbox all the way forward first, and if you cant get any more adjustment try bending the lower rear mount on the car towards the front of the car a little, because I have a feeling it's no longer in it's original location.

There really isn't with the fittings that were shown. We were able to install a kit (clocked pretty much identical to the RacerX one in the picture, and everything fits, but it's touching the airbox. So I wouldn't run that. Now I haven't tried banjo fittings, but from what I can tell visually and what I mocked up in CAD, they should work just fine.

If I'm reading this right you have the GrimmSpeed intake too, with an oil cooler with banjo fittings? If that's the case I'd love to see a picture just so we can confirm fitment. Let me know!
