The owners manual advises not to exceed 4k for the first 1000km.
The 'seal the piston ring' theory was an article written mostly for bike engines.
It's quite the controversial topic. Instead I'd suggest follow the owners manual...
He's talking about the beep/light I think. It's in the owners manual as well :P
