I'm not sure the additional heat from the header is causing the CELL/overheating but I'm guessing it isn't helping. Would the hood louvers make enough of a difference to help with this issue, or are overheating coilpacks in the FT86 simply a way of life with this car?

(FWIW, OF doesn't recommend coating/wrapping the header as they claim it doesn't allow it to expand/cool and could lead to premature cracking. They recommended 'wrapping' the coilpack, but I can't see a practical or effective way of doing that)

Thanks
It's primarily a 13 issue, but some people claim that hood vents can prevent the coilpack failure. I don't have enough sample data to say one way or the other... but it will absolutely reduce underhood temps!

The vents are currently backordered about a week.
