I am on TRD springs with roughly an inch drop all around, and I am running 17x9 +42 and 245/40/17 Hankook Evo2's square. Zero rubbing issues, and the fitment is PERFECT. I have about a credit card clearance on the strut perch, but I drove it really hard this weekend after mounting and breaking in the tires on Saturday morning. The ride was smoother than the stock tires and wheels because the hankooks are a bit softer (win/win with ride quality and grip, but more road noise). Wheels are ROTA Grid-V in two-tone polished/matte bronze, got them from Wheeldude, recommended for ROTA purchases.
I am running only -1 degree of camber on the front, and to tuck the wheel a bit more under the wheel well I should be running more like -2ish, so that is on my list to do in the near future. Will be getting camber bolts and seeing what I can get comfortably. When people say the best upgrade you can do to these cars is a good set of wheels and tires.......... take their word for it. The car came alive on some mountain runs, and gave some STI's a run for their money. Next is brake pads and and maybe a front sway/bushings.
