Thanks guys, so much for my hopes of short-circuiting the process
I will print the subaru TSB and bring it in, good suggestion. I guess ultimately I was hoping if I could point them at the scion TSB there may be more information in their system around it and it would be easier for them to get approval for the repairs. Not really sure how a service department works though so maybe a naive thought.
I have < 500 miles left of warranty so as long as I get it completely wrapped up in that time I am good
