From what he heard, they (the dealer) estimated and told the customer to expect it in July. But at this point, they don't even know when. For all new orders placed now, he told customers to expect in 2013 at the earliest.
I personally don't like this dealer and will never buy from them, but it was interesting to see the markups and the fact that they received two BRZs that were just sitting there not sold (but marked up).
On a positive, Subaru America will be at that dealership with a BRZ to test drive, so hopefully I get to finally test drive one!

It's just rediculous that the ordering process is so messed up that pre-orders aren't getting filled until 6-10 months AFTER the pre-order. This is a modern assembly line right? How many cars do GM and Ford churn out daily in 1 plant? Granted, Subaru isn't as large as them, but they have Toyota backing in this as well.
I'm hoping that new order thing he was talking about was a lie. I placed a second order at a different dealer, hoping it would come in before the pre-orders general October/November time frame that I put $500 on. This guy probably cancelled his order for the same reason I'm looking at other places. Better color as well(GBS vs. LR).
