I didn't realize the tail shaft had to come out of the transmission on the FR-S.
I'm stuck in the 50's again ......  We used to take apart the universal joint and then drop the driveshaft. Or, at least I did ...... yep, those "C" clips were a butch to get off of the universal joint without messing them up .....

It's a lot easier to just unbolt the 4 bolts in the rear of drive shaft lol. Idk nothing about 50s cars lol I thought they drove Fred flintstone cars back in your day. This position I get a monthly r&d stipend?
