Cheaper parts since new generation coming?

I've been looking around and see a problem. For many cosmetic overlays, such as carbon fiber door handle covers, front bumper lips, e brake boot, armrest cover and dashboard instrument cluster, and other various interior and exterior parts, seems to want roughly 4 times I would expect parts should be. An example I saw was $80 for the circular air vents in carbon fiber. Can I get a black plastic and I'll paint it. Climate control knob covers to me should be $20, hood gas springs... under $50. I don't want carbon fiber this or that. I just want a simple plastic piece.
Since the new version is coming, does this mean that some reduction in parts cost? Will I have to wait until the next full remodel version, at this rate may be another couple of years.
