Zaku, is there any reason why you're holding out besides pricing for an 86? Is it the looks? Toyota preference?

Good Question, First I have no bias towards any Manufacturer I appreciate that they both make this car great. This goes the same for the looks, alot of people dislike the new 86 because they don't like the front. But Most of the people I've met and they have seen the car in person @
goldenfri for example all thought it's very nice. It's not a very photogenic car I suppose.
The biggest reason to hold out is that Performance Package. For the Subaru you have to buy the Limited Trim or the Special Yellow to get it. Imagine if Toyota released the 86 and you have the option for the brembo with the stock wheel, the brembo with the performance wheel, just the performance wheel. Etc. You would essentially have the ability to buy a car without all the extras stuff with the PP. That was what alot of people were a bit upset about, the fact that you can't get a BRZ premium with the PP. you have to pay that extra 2K ish to up yourself to a limited.
If you're someone like me who don't really care for the extras and you would like the option for a PP and 86 give you the option.
Wouldn't the Toyota Appeal to you too?Especially if it's priced lower than a BRZ limited
I have some good evidence that the 86 is offered with PP in Japan already, so I'm hoping for this best case scenario.
I'm willing to wait on this possibility. *tiny glimmer of hope* this is also because all the BRZ with PP that have been shown are also the top models, Limited in trim etc.
The Toyota even in this picture below, have always been shown in a lower trim. We'll have to wait and see. I hope the hold up is just them taking their time figuring out how to give people PP etc.
