As far as me driving my FR-S, getting decent gas mileage and having fun, last week we drove 600 miles, including going over 3 mountain passes, on twisty roads (no freeways) and averaged 32 mpg.

Yep, going a bit faster than the speed limit ....... and having a bunch of fun ......

Now, what about this double efficiency thought of yours ..... ??

Wel im just comparing two vehicles. Ive built 10 jeeps in my life. Most of them burly rock crawlers. Not made for any sort of fuel efficiency. Im in canada, forgive me for not making conversions, in my WORST jeep, a gas guzzling pig. 4 tires and rims probably weighed 600 pounds. Extremely low geared 5.13s. Top speed of 86km hr. Gas prices are the same, id pay 76-80$ for a tank and id get around 350-400 km per tank. With my twin. 50$ to fill up and i get around 350-400km per tank. A STOCK jeep with 2000 less pounds gets around 12-14 mpg. Why in the hell would a big old jeep get almost the same as a brand new 4 cyl car? Id expect the car to be waaaaaaay better. I dont expect to get 1000 miles to a tank but i expect to double the kms for dollars. I actually tried to drive liie a grandma, shifting at 2200, never being aggresive. For a whole tank. It was stoll SHIT mileage. It makes no sense that i wouldnt. I almost feeel the mpg display on my frs lies to me.
