Is this a good idea?..

Hello,
So, I have a '13 FRS that I owe 7k on. It's in good running condition, near 36k miles.
I have decided I really want an edelbrock super charger.

traditional school of thought:
Pay off the car, save up, buy the super charger, install it, deal with any issues if they happen.

my.. idea..
I could go talk to the dealer about their new FRS stock, they are currently trying to dump the scions as they are closing the brand. I may be able to get a nice deal, and then tell them I want them to install the edelbrock as part of my new car purchase.
advantages: new car service plan, edelbrock powertrain warranty on new car. I may actually be able to lower my monthly payments
disadvantages: I will have 5 more years of payments. numbers are not in my favor.

so, risk assessment, If I want a supercharger, is buying a new FRS and trading my current FRS a good idea?
