VTEC mentioned, also make sure your putting good gas in the tank. Out here in SoCAL it can get to 100+ with 80% humidity which is already challenging for the car. Our low octane 91 pump gas knocks like mad so the ECU pulls timing right away. Make sure you're either putting in 93 octane gas or adding a legit octane booster like Torco Acellerator to 91. Or switch to e85
