If it's the left trunk side as in the passenger side and the rattle sound like plastic rattling at highway speeds then it could be what I encountered.

After I installed my rally armor mud guards, they would flap at highway speeds and cause my rear bumper to giggle and create a plastic clicking/ rattling sound in the rear left. Took me quite a while to isolate and stop it, but I did it by removing the whole bumper and sliding in rubber washers over all the pop-in clips.

To test my theory I duct taped up the seams of my bumper drove it on the highway to confirm it before committing to fully disassembling my rear bumper.

Its been quiet for a few months now so hopefully that helps you.
