you can run a dedicated E85 tune and get same power out of a na or boosted engine. without a flex sensor you need to ensure E% of the fuel is stable. Not everywhere has varying E% like USA, here we can buy guaranteed 85% ethanol fuel from pumps. Flex sensor makes life easy but if you have a stable source of E85 not necessary.


On NA cars the tolerance for varying ethanol content is quite wide and you can get away without flex sensor even with fuels faring from say 60-85%, relying in the inbuilt fuel trim compensations, you wouldn't get away with that on a boosted car though.
