Married with a kid here, one practical car is enough, and a midsized sedan is just fine. We replaced our BMW 335i coupe and BMW Z4 for a BMW 330i sedan and a SAAB 9-3 (safety yo) in preparation of our daughter. Sound rational decision both financially and from a safety standpoint, but with both of us being car people it ate away at us. One year later we have a 335i again (sedan this time) and the BRZ.
