Something seems to be wrong with your numbers. Do you tell us that a V8 engine weights the same with the FA20 engine? I am not sure about the details of the LS engine, but the FA20 engine has an aluminum block and cylinder heads. Overall, it is a well thought and modern design engine.

And how did you check that your car handles the same? You are getting too far with this. Even if you have in total only a 100lbs difference, you should have a reasonable difference in handling because the car's center of gravity is now much higher. I don't think there is any other production engine that can sit so low in our cars.

So, I don't accept your argument that you have exactly the same car, but with more power. You made compromises and in fact you got some very bad financial decisions. If you wanted to have a muscle car, you could buy from the beginning a Camaro and have a functional car from day one!


I am not saying that no one else should do this, but at least we should be clear here about the REALITY.
