Yep, I agree, as they say down south here "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Back-on-the-farm, we had this old 1937, steel wheeled, Oliver tractor. I asked my father one day if I should change the transmission/differential oil.

He said ..... NO. I said I can't remember granddad or you changing the oil in it. He said nope, I never have. I ask why not. He said his father never did .............and the tractor runs just fine. Leave it be.

He said, now get out there and keep hand hoeing the foxtail out of the corn field ....... and quit trying to find a shade tree job!
