Ummmm because the AC dumps heat into the engine bay?
The AC radiator is attached right to the engine radiator.
Any heat removed from the car via AC goes straight into the engine and the engine bay.
I once had a big argument over this on this forum and someone wanted to lecture me about thermodynamics and how AC works. Silly Rabbit.....
