As @
Ultramaroon mentioned early on, snow tires are a must. As soon as you figure out how much gas to give it, it's all gravy. Biggest thing to worry about is getting it stuck because of too much snow underneath. There have been a handful of days since I bought the car in December 2014 that I opted to take my work truck over the car to run errands (rarely drive the car to work because I have a truck I don't pay for that work gave me, and I rack up about 1000km a week to commute to work).
