I am going to give you my advice without sugar coating anything. Winter tires are mandatory, don't even try getting through one winter without em. Was the worst mistake I made. Your car will not move in snow at all unless you get winters. On top of that, even with winter tires you will not be able to start from stop on an uphill in a snow storm. You need to either gain speed from flat or downhill roads first before hitting a hill, or turning around and avoiding hills entirely.

Then on top of that, the paint on this car is very thin and will chip easily from all the salt and crap that will get thrown on your car. The windshield is rather weak too. I now understand why the dealership was pushing for windshield protection.

If that does not discourage you from driving this in the winter then go for it. I went through one winter so far, but am strongly considering buying a cheap beater for next winter. But for me it's not because of the driving, but rather I don't want the car to be exposed to all the salt and rocks and crap that winter brings.
