90% New England commuter driving on state highways, which means light turns green and zoom up to 60mph and then hit the brakes for the next light a 1/2 mile up the road. Repeat endlessly. Getting about 28mpg under those conditions. True highway driving gets mid 30's.


Car has ~35K miles on it, and all the fuel we use in New England is 10% ethanol.
