Holy shit the valves are all caked up like Bimmer or VW/Audi DI engines with such low mileage. It needs a walnut blasting job.
For example, I heard a 4.2L V8 FSI Audi RS4 loses like about 100hp with this kind of issue.
One reason I went with the BRZ is due to availability of port injection on top of direct injection.
I think Toyota now even includes a cleaning routine with D4-S on their 3.5L engine.
