The installation is quite involved for these draw stiffeners, they are originally from STI. Only installed asymmetrically on the BRZ due to the design of its chassis (not sure why that is), while symmetrical on the WRX STI, the Legacy only needs one piece.

IIRC one end of the bar has a pillowball and the rod is a spring loaded pull action (I played around with the rods when I first got them).

Basically it ties the front subframe to the sides of the chassis, limits the movement of the subframe (can only be used in conjunction with the STI flexible strut tower bar and/or flexible v-bars, not sure about TRD). When cornering, the change in alignment for the front wheels are minimized.

When I take a fast corner it feels like the car gets sucked down to the ground a bit (similar feeling when cornering a 4 wheel double wishbone old Honda).
