Maybe if you could post a picture or two so we could compare the wear with our seats to see if it is unusual.
Meanwhile, you may consider making an appointment with the General Manager or owner of the dealership to see if they would make a good will exception.
As a backup plan, you might stop by an auto upholstery shop to get a repair estimate (then see if it bugs you that much).
