Not personally but came across people that have, and usually when the car is approaching high mileage and somehow always German.
You know on the think of it I could have as well, a pop can sound during idle that the garage could never figured out for the longest time, and they assured me it's not the HPFP. When I got rid of the car the DSG wasn't shifting properly from time to time so I knew I had to get rid of it quick.
