Naturally in both cases you want to improve the handling of the car. People are so used to the idea that any mods to a sports car must obviously be to improve its track capabilities, but at least in my case, I'm building a street car.
Some have the opinion that the stock car is perfectly acceptable for daily driver use. That's a personal opinion. If this were true then why was the damper adjusted for better ride with the MY15's and yet again with the MY17's?
Again my own opinion, but I view a good street build to include better handling than stock, smoother ride, more or less stock clearance and the ability to handle most road conditions like I were driving on a perfectly smooth race track.

Yeah to clarify, my statement was really just that if you've just got a street car (no track/show/etc) there's very little, if anything, that can be done by coilovers that can't be done just as well by a set of struts and springs, and for less money.
