I actually see two halves to this discussion and possibly a little confusion mixed in. One half is track use and the other being street.
With track you more or less are dealing with fairly smooth surfaces, but with street the roads will be uneven and generally rougher.
Naturally in both cases you want to improve the handling of the car. People are so used to the idea that any mods to a sports car must obviously be to improve its track capabilities, but at least in my case, I'm building a street car.
Some have the opinion that the stock car is perfectly acceptable for daily driver use. That's a personal opinion. If this were true then why was the damper adjusted for better ride with the MY15's and yet again with the MY17's?
Again my own opinion, but I view a good street build to include better handling than stock, smoother ride, more or less stock clearance and the ability to handle most road conditions like I were driving on a perfectly smooth race track.
