1. Do you mind going into your choice of 7163 for the turbo? What are your ultimate power goals with it? How do you think it would compare to the 6258 or 6758? I have seen a blog post by Perring showing the 7163 spooling slightly faster than the 6258 and 6758, but this doesn't seem to make since to me.

2. Have you guys posted a dyno anywhere? The only dyno I can find for this kit is in this article here: http://dsportmag.com/the-tech/full-r...spirated-fa20/. They also use a 7163, but the graph is not useful at all. The numbers are not even visible. I am super curious to see when the Full-Race kit spools, etc.
That's awesome to hear. I'm quite impressed with the quality of the kit and the turbo!

1) There are a few reasons I went with the 7163 over the 6758 (my initial choice). Some reasonable, some more emotional haha.

-The 7163 is the newest of the new as far as EFR tech goes. Mixed flow turbine wheel being the biggest benefit, which offers killer spool and large power!
-It's used in IndyCar, how cool is that? CHRA is an IndyCar turbo and that kind of strikes home with me.
-Aluminum center section. I'm not competitively racing but having light stuff is always nice.
-Even though the turbo is new, there are some dynos out there. The dynos show that the 7163 spools nearly identical to the 6758 with an immense powerband at hand. The choice was simple really when seeing the 7163 spools near the same as the 6758 with significantly more power on tap if the need arises.

My goals are 350-375 for now. We all know that is pushing the stock engine/trans so I'm trying my best to play it safe.

2) I have not dyno'd the car yet. I find that most people rush to the dyno to see numbers. I take a fairly methodical approach as in my experience it is rare that all things go well right out the door. IE: I am still working on getting my boost control down. I am out of fuel currently on E85. I am getting close though, promise! After injectors and dual port IWG I think I'll be full steam ahead towards a dyno date, which should be getting to me somewhat soon!

Alright, so onto the weekend's progress!

So the fab bug hit me, from time to time I have to do something that doesn't really do much but makes me feel better! So I made a 3" intake with tubing I had laying around and a 3" Amsoil intake filter. Pictures below comparing the Full-Race 2.5" vs. mine. Nothing is wrong with the Full-Race unit, I just wanted to make something.

Finished up the install using the RPAC quick latch bumper install... very happy with the lack of bumper gap now!

A few more fabrication projects to come and some videos .

Thanks,
Eric
