The nice thing is though, spark plugs were done, a nice aftermarket clutch was put in along with new all season continental tires.

The color of the oil cannot tell you the condition of the oil. Oil turns black from carbon. Just a friendly heads up.
If you are concerned about the integrity of your oil, do an oil analysis.
