The only time I've felt the torque dip is during autocross where I am forced to slow down into a hard corner or risk running into cones. RPMs drop under the where the dip begins then once I straighten out, I mash the pedal and away I go.
Other than that, it really is no big deal especially if you are simply canyon carving or commuting.
