When the part arrived and I 'presented' it to the vehicle, it was obvious it wasn't going to fit. I don't know whether it's because of the redesign of the intercooler/piping for the V3 kit, or if the '16 model BRZ features slightly different positioning of the AC condenser, but the HKS intake duct would not fit, under any circumstances, at least not without cutting a big chunk out of it, which would seem purpose-defeating. Normally, I wouldn't mind too much, but the part was north of $200, and the vendor, of course, would not take it back as a return, because the packaging had been opened. So, just an FYI, if you're contemplating this kit. That said, I love the kit. It looks spectacular, and runs beautifully. At the time I purchased my kit, the Flash Editor wouldn't work with my '16. So, I went with a custom ECUTek tune and am completely satisfied with it.

Ran into the same problem for the same reasons as you... According to the instructions... it was supposed to fit. I thought the noncompliant part had to do with the fact that I have a modified Beatrush front beam brace installed... now I know that is not the case. Lost out on about $30 in shipping but fortunately I was able to return it.
