Also, some more anecdotes.
By the time I was 18 and headed to college, I had done some nearly 2k of damage on dad's '04 Camry in about 2 years. I was convinced my driving was far better than it was.
Fast forward 6 or 7 years now, and I'm qualified on a wide range of all military vehicles that have wheels (but not tracks, don't want my beret to turn black) and not only do I have thousands of hours accumulated across the fleet, I'm also teaching the new and upcoming soldiers of tomorrow on how to operate them, as well as making sure they can pass a road test as given by yours truly. Funny how times change...
Now that I think of it, I wonder if my insurance company will throw me a bone for being an instructor/examiner...
