No, the 35 in the number refers to 35% of the width with on the 215 would be 75 mm and on the 225 would be nearly 79 mm. So the 225 wheel is 4 mm taller then the 215 hence why it looks "bulgy" also the 225 itself is wider. Also you never stated if they were the same brand. Brands can vary on size. Check tire rack under the specs sheets. Your tire maybe 2or 3 mm taller or wider due to the manufacturer.
