IRACE86’s Build
I guess it is time to make a build thread. I’ll have to play catch up because I have already done a bunch of things. I’m not looking to go crazy with this build though (famous last words, right?). My goals are to improve the aesthetics while gaining some performance for spirited driving and the occasional track day, but this car is foremost my daily—my CARB legal daily. The good news is that my daily commute isn’t far, so I don’t rack on tons of miles. I have only put 3k miles on the car since I bought it early December (6 months ago). Yet, in the back of my mind, I have the idea to strip the car someday to turn it into a trailer track car, but that is far into the future. At that point I’ll be thinking of coilovers, but until then, I’m fine with lowering springs. Stuff like that.
A few of my last builds were mostly just light restoration work, simple MIG welding, some garage CNC stuff, bolt on mods and painting--just basic stuff. Besides the vehicles below I owned a Lancer, 240sx, a second mkiv Supra and a Civic--nothing big really. Current rides...

Car was purchase from Livermore, CA Subaru in December of 2015 as a CPO car with 45k miles. The car was a stock limited 6mt with a few factory options consisting of the trunk liner and the home link rear view mirror and some new BF Goodrich tires.
