Please let us know when you've figured things out, this would be valuable info Good luck!
The guys at the dealer said car is automatically totalled/write-off when airbags deploy, and the sales guy told me to call him re: 2017 gt86

Hey an airbag off the forum or ebay. Just make sure it's OEM, not knockoff(they exist). Wheel and control arm etc are easy to replace. I did this exact thing 2 years ago but a lot harder. If you already called insurance, take the check and fix it yourself. You'll end up with a big pile of money left over
I spoke with the insurance adjuster the next day, and she said that once the claim is in, even if i fix it and they pay out 0$, it will be on the record and increase my premiums. so i kind of gave up at that point, and decided to just let them handle it.

Something is bent too(lower control arm?) but it all seems like a days worth of work and no calls to the insurance.

This was my first time when an airbag went off, and i wasn't thinking straight (had ringing/hearing loss in my ears for 3 days, afterwards).
The next day i immediately regretted it, because my insurance premium is going to destroy me now, and i could have just paid a few thousand out of pocket to fix it.
I've had this car for under a year, and have already clayed/waxed it 3 times, rustproofed, etc. so calling insurance was an emotional decision, not a rational one.

Oh well, you live and you learn, i guess...
31,000$...
